November, 2013: Finished Folkloric Dancers, a commision by UMC, University Medical Center, Children's Hospital in El Paso, TX.

April 29 July26, 2013: Exhibit at El Paso Art Windows, at the El Paso International Airport.

April 24, 2013: The National Oil and Acrylic Painters' Society, International competition and Judge Todd A. Williams selected 150 Artworks from 450 Entries and 250 artists from all over the World. Nov 2011, Maritza was awarded a grant from The City of El Paso, Museums and Cultural Affairs Department, sponsoring her exhibit, titled "Romancing El Paso."

September 2011, Painted a 13 feet lamp post donated to Hospice El Paso and received the "Best of Show" and "Top Revenue Producer" awards.

October 2010, painting "Family Portrait" was chosen by the City of El Paso to be proyected onto the Chase building in downtown during the "Chalk The Block" Street Festival.
